Welcome to Elderfield Treasure Map Locations Guide
Carry the numbered Treasure Map and a Shovel before searching its dig site. The community map table and a September 16 guide agree on several landmarks, while Maps 4, 5, 9, 10, and 12 need extra checking.
On this page
Match the map number to its source and landmark before digging. Map 1 is the farmhouse cat and Mall parking-lot tree; Map 2 is Ellie and the Sewers shrine; Map 3 is Alice and the ranch streetlamp. Use the list below for later maps and note the disputed entries.

How treasure maps and dig sites work
Get the numbered map before searching its dig site, carry a Shovel, and compare the clue with the correct area. A September 16 guide reports that the dig site will not appear without the corresponding map, while the community Items and Shops pages distinguish the map clue from the digging tool. Check the item number in your inventory before following any location below.
The two checked location sources use landmarks rather than a reliable shared coordinate system. Their named places are a better first search than copying a grid point from a screenshot that may have been cropped or updated. If the map image and a web guide disagree, use the current map item and interaction prompt to narrow the spot.
Maps 1–3: farm, Mall, Sewers, and ranch
Treasure Map 1 comes from the farmhouse cat in both checked references. Its dig landmark is the large tree between the Mall parking lot and the entrance, so search outside before entering the building. The dedicated Map 1 guide gives the acquisition and shovel checks in more detail.
For Map 2, the sources point to lending Ellie money when she is shopping at the General Store. Both place the dig site in the Sewers to the right of a god shrine, though the community table adds a locked Gatekeeper-door context. Confirm that you hold Map 2 before pursuing that route, since a closed door is not proof the map location is wrong.
For Map 3, the acquisition lead is speaking to Alice, and the dig landmark is a streetlamp in the ranch area. The community Treasure page places it near Klaus’s house, while the September guide describes the same ranch-side lamp more generally. Use that shared landmark, then inspect the nearby ground with the Shovel.
This Sep 11 clip visually locates the Map 1 parking-lot tree, matching the community Treasure table and a September guide. It is an example for Map 1 only: it does not establish Maps 2–12, the cat trigger, an exact dig tile, or any reward. The video has no caption track or visible build number.

Both references send Map 4 toward the Lakefront near a tree and picnic or wooden table. They disagree about acquisition: the community Treasure table says a Parks and Recreation office mystery, while the September guide says a Tier 1 mine book. Treat both as source leads and verify the map item before relying on either trigger.
Map 5 is tied to a Tier 1 book-loot lead in the Mall Mines, but the dig descriptions differ. One source says the Mall Back Offices near the Stalktopus pond and clock; the other describes a Mall F1 hallway above an indoor fishing area. Use the map image to choose between those nearby Mall leads instead of claiming a single exact tile.
Map 6 is listed as a conversation reward from Molly in her Workshop. Both guides then direct players to a Mall area near a mine entrance, tables, or a blue garbage can. Search the shared Mall landmark first, but follow the current prompt if the layout or trash-can position differs.
Maps 7–8: town landmarks
The community table and September guide both list Celeste as the Map 7 contact. They place its treasure in the northwestern part of Town near a water or eye tower and a large tree. Find that pair of landmarks before testing adjacent ground, because the broad northwest label alone covers too much space.
For Map 8, both sources point to gossip with Blorph and a dig site in Town Park. The community table narrows the spot to below the seesaw, while the September guide names the park without that detail. Check the seesaw area first, and retain the map clue if the current scenery is different.
Maps 9–12: later and less complete records
Both sources describe Maps 9 and 10 as fishing treasure loot, but the community Treasure table leaves their dig locations blank. The September guide alone places Map 9 near an Old Woods shrine and Map 10 at Tanner’s carpentry shop. These are single-source search leads, not independently confirmed dig sites.
Map 11 is listed as a reward from speaking with Alice when she is at the farmhouse. Both sources place its treasure inside the Mall Music Store, with the community page pointing to the back-wall guitars. Hold Map 11 and search that specific store rather than another Mall music-related room.
Map 12 is linked to Josh at the Art Gallery in both sources, but the Sewer dig descriptions disagree. The community table puts it behind a Slimy Key door near Greystone Estates, while the September guide says near Blorph’s schedule spot. Keep both as candidate landmarks and confirm the current map clue before spending time opening a different locked route.
Get the map before trying to dig
A remembered landmark is not enough if the matching map has not entered your inventory. Check the number and use the map item to view its clue, then bring a Shovel to the named area. This order is especially important for fishing-loot maps and conversation rewards, where the item may arrive only after a particular interaction.
If the expected NPC does not give a map, look for the map in inventory or storage and note the dialogue stage. The source tables do not establish repeatability for every conversation reward. A missing second copy should be treated as a state check before it becomes a bug report.
If a dig site does not appear
Verify the map number, Shovel, and area in that order. Map 1 and Map 11 both involve the Mall, but one is outside at the parking-lot tree and the other is inside the Music Store. Using the right broad region with the wrong numbered clue will not resolve the task.
Next look for the landmark shared by the sources, then test reachable ground nearby. These records do not establish one universal facing direction or button, and the September guide’s coordinates are not cross-checked against the community table. Follow the visible game prompt and keep a note of where you tested.
If the sources conflict, stop treating the unconfirmed description as a guaranteed location. Save the map image, current version, area name, and inventory state before escalating the discrepancy. That evidence is enough to update the individual map entry without rewriting every other location.
What is verified and what is still open
This guide compares the community Treasure and Items pages read September 24, 2026 with a Raider King location article published September 16. The overlap supports the map-number distinctions and several landmark-level routes, but the sources are not a controlled current-build test of every tile. No exact coordinate or complete loot table is presented as guaranteed here.
To be confirmed: Map 4 acquisition, the precise Map 5 and Map 12 dig spots, the Map 9 and Map 10 locations, repeat behavior, and patch-specific rewards. Use the current map image and a short shovel-action capture to settle one disputed row at a time. Keep this page as a route index rather than merging conflicting claims into a false complete answer.
